Your world is changing, slowly, and this isn't a good thing. While we bicker about our leaders and war and money being spent, we forget to look at the bigger picture. We forget because it's easy to forget. It's easy to forget that there are families all over the world starving because we just had our dinner. It's easy to forget that children are kidnapped from their own beds and turned into mindless killing machines because we are safe in our own beds. It is easy to forget that, while we complain about the freedoms we are losing, there are those that are too afraid to even complain.

 

There is the reality we create, and the reality that IS. The bigger picture.

 

And I know why we choose not to look at the bigger picture. The bigger picture sucks. The bigger picture makes us feel guilty. The bigger picture makes us realize that there is MORE that we can do. But we do not want to do more. We want to go to work, come back home to our families, have dinner, go to bed, and forget. We do not want to think about someone who has "nothing to do with us." After all, why do they matter? Why should we care?

 

But there is something we can do. We can make a difference. Each of us can make a difference.

 

We are in America, we are in Europe, we are in Australia, and we can make a difference. We can vote. We can speak. We can climb to the tops of the highest buildings and shout

 

WAKE UP

 

Wake up, because we can do something about this. We can change this. And if we don't? Well, then I guess you didn't really care anyway.
